Allow it to burn for about 30 seconds, then gently blow it out. If needed, you can blow on the embers to keep the smoke going throughout your cleansing process. Follow the guide below for the purpose that you are using the palo santo. Keep in mind that you may need to relight the stick a few times. Unlike sage, which continues to burn, Palo Santo is a bit more reluctant to hold a flame. When finished, place the Palo Santo stick in a fireproof container and allow the glow at the end of the stick to go out on its own. Alternatively, you can extinguish the embers in sand (we recommend filling the fire-safe bowl with sand for this purpose). TEA:Palo Santo can be used as a tea or tisane to aid the flu, a cough or asthma. To infuse, cut 1x stick in half and boil one half for 15 minutes, then filter and drink with honey. REPELLENT:Palo Santo is also an effective mosquito repellent.
