Root Sample Collection Guide, Seed Sample Collection Guide TUMI Genomics’ Pan Pythium diagnostic assay uses a TaqMan qPCR to detect the presence of pathogenic Pythium species in cannabis plants. The primer/probe sets target the Pythium genome as well as an endogenous plant transcript as a positive control. Because this assay detects a target that is in all cannabis tissues, it provides confirmation of sample integrity, successful nucleic acid extraction, and activity of reaction components in every sample. The Pythium species detected in the assay are: P. dissotocum P. myriotylum P. ultimum P. alphanidermatum Note: The assay detects the presence of pathogenic Pythium.
