Pandanus baptistii is a small, variegated plant from the Pandanaceae family, often called the Variegated Dwarf Pandanus or ‘Aureus’ when it has golden-yellow stripes. Native to New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago, near Papua New Guinea, this plant forms a short, branching trunk with stiff, spiral leaves. The leaves are deep green with a bright cream to yellow stripe down the centre. How to care for your Pandanus - Water: Let the soil become dry between waterings, ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Light: Allow your Pandanus to get plenty of bright, but indirect sunlight, too much and leaves can turn yellow.
