Made by Sam Ross, any good bartender will know what a Paper Plane is. This is a modern variation of the Last Word. In my opinion, this is an approachable drink into the Last Word family variations (such as the Final Ward, Naked and Famous). A beautiful balance between bitter, sour and herbal notes, the components of a Paper Plane come together for a lesson in flavor and balance. You can make this drink easily at home, too, since all ingredients are equal parts. The Amaro Nonino is the make-it-or-break-it of this concoction, and we bought this amaro just for the Paper Plane.
