構造そのものが描く、静かな造形美 国産ヒノキとペーパーコードを組み合わせた、軽やかで清々しい佇まいのスツールです。四方にわずかに傾斜した脚部は、最小限の部材でありながら確かな安定感を生み出しており、その機能的な構造そのものが意匠としての魅力を放っています。シンプルな形状の中に、日本の木工技術と素材の美しさが静かに息づいています。 身体に馴染む、しなやかな座り心地 座面には、職人の手によって丹念に編み込まれたペーパーコードを採用いたしました。ペーパーコード特有の適度な張りと、身体に寄り添うしなやかさが心地よく腰を支えます。使い込むほどに素材が柔らかく馴染み、自分だけの一脚へと育っていく過程もお楽しみいただけます。 森の記憶を繋ぐ、nisi-biのものづくり nisi-biは、林業の聖地である奈良県奥吉野の十津川村に拠点を置く中山直規氏・由佳氏による工房です。地元の製材所と連携し、主に奈良県産の良質なヒノキを使用して、素材の質感を最大限に活かした家具製作を行っています。自然由来のオイルで仕上げられたヒノキは、時を経るごとに色合いと艶が深まり、暮らしに豊かな彩りを添えてくれます。 A Quiet Aesthetic Defined by Structure This stool combines Japanese cypress (Hinoki) with a paper cord seat, resulting in a light and refreshing presence. The legs, which slant slightly outward in four directions, maintain firm stability despite the minimal use of materials, turning the functional structure itself into a design centerpiece. Within its simple form, the essence of Japanese woodworking techniques and the inherent beauty of the materials reside quietly. Supple Comfort that Adapts to the Body The seat features meticulously hand-woven paper cord. The natural tension and flexibility of the cord provide comfortable support, gently contouring to the body. With use, the material becomes softer and more broken-in, allowing you to enjoy the process of the stool becoming a truly personal piece of furniture. The Craftsmanship of nisi-bi: Connecting Forest Memories nisi-bi is a workshop run by Naoki and Yuka Nakayama, based in Totsukawa Village in the Oku-Yoshino region of Nara Prefecture—an area renowned for its forestry. In collaboration with local sawmills, they primarily use high-quality Nara-grown Hinoki to create furniture that highlights the texture and beauty of natural materials.
