My husband and I started our zero waste journey together when we bought our first home in early 2018. We found it frustrating that our local grocery stores packaged so many items in plastic and found we were throwing away a lot more than we had realized. Since then, we have made small, incremental steps towards reducing our carbon footprint by finding affordable low-waste or no-waste alternatives to products we bought or used regularly, and hand-making others ourselves. We are nowhere near true "zero" waste, but hope that by continuing to make small steps and sharing our ideas and handmade products with others, we can help to make an impact on the climate crisis.
