Even thou gh the cat can be domesticated, they are mostly considered to be wild animals that have characteristic differences from other cats. There are four lynx species that we currently know of, the Canadian lynx, the Iberian lynx, the Eurasian lynx, and the bobcat. The 'original' lynx is the Eurasian lynx. Many confuse the Canadian lynx with the bobcat, mostly because their areas overlap. However, all of them are medium-sized and can be characterized by their tail that is only 10-20 cm in length.
