The opener 'Portamental' is based on a rough idea Dan had already in 2015 and was in a bunch of sketches he sent us. From the intro pads you know this is something special and made us straight fall in love with it. Dan delivers a Jungle Techno track that is well...very Techno, even Trancey in its appearance. It transports a melancholy and reminds us of misty early mornings in the hazy 90ies after a long night out raving, just when the day slowly settles and the first sun rays touch your face. A great tune to start your day (or set) with and definitely one for the headphones crew! Once heard it won´t leave your mind, a track with a lot of character that is close to Dan´s heart, so we are proud he let us have it. 'Tekfunk' nearly made the Parazone album instead of ‚Facemelt‘ and comes from the same moment in time. Pumping kicks underneath rattling breaks set the order of this Jungle Techno stomper in true Basement/ Jack Smooth fashion.
