Any change of the light level in front of the SHADOW Master will make the alerts of the SHADOW Master go off, i.e. the red light will light up and the sound alarm will go off. How to Use: Position the SHADOW Master to patrol an area you think might be likely for a shadow figure / apparition to pass through. Turn the switch into the “on” position. Adjust the sensitivity control so the beeping stops. When the beeping stops you have set the SHADOW Master to the light level that is directly in front of it. It can not be pitch dark in the room. The light level has to be steady. It is not recommended to be used outdoors since it is an environment where you can not control the level of light. Light fluctuations occur outdoors and such would generate false positives. Very Important! Be sure the 9V battery is inserted the correct way with + and – in the right position. If not, when you turn on the instrument, it will immediately ruin the electronic circuitry and make the instrument defective. There are not supposed to be any screws for the battery lid.
