Parallel Time is the debut album from Company, the Brooklyn four-piece of Adam Davison, David Janik, Christopher Teret and Stephanie Rabins. The band came together in 2001 during a long-running weekly residency at Nine-C, the East Village bar, where they worked rough sketches into finished songs in front of a crowd, and later carried the habit over to Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg. Those small rooms shaped the record: folk at its core, with a punk and post-punk edge and a looseness that lets the songs drift from rowdy to hushed and back again. Released in October 2005 on Brah Records. Show more
