During the uprising workers and students would come to the Atelier Populaire in the occupied School of Fine Arts with ideas for poster designs - they would be discussed in the context of the day's events in a General Assembly before deciding whether to print them or not. The posters, alongside a wave of radical graffiti, flooded the streets with their trademark simplicity.
