DUE TO A SURPLUS OF FEMALES WE ARE ONLY SELLING MALES IF AT LEAST 2 FEMALES ARE BOUGHT. Melanotaenia parkinsoni is a popular species of rainbowfish from Papua New Guinea. Males dev elop a blotchy, yellow to orange colour along the back half as they mature; the head area is a greenish-silver. These are a larger species of Melanotaenia and may reach up to 6" long; 3-4" is more average in aquaria. Like all rainbowfish they are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 3, preferably 6 or more. They are well-behaved and work well in mid- to large-sized community aquaria with similarly sized fishes. These are adults around 4" long that a nearly fully coloured. Show more
