For this piece, I wanted to capture the spirit of the holiday season, which I usually associate with the winter as a Filipino from the diaspora. Since the Philippines doesn't have snow, I wanted to use the sampaguita (jasmine flower) petals flying in the air as a substitute for snowfall.
