Sow thinly into finely raked, warm, moist soil at a depth of 13 mm (1/2") in rows 30 cm (12") apart. Thin seedlings to 15 cm (6") between plants. For exhibition purposes, sow 3 or 4 seeds in prepared holes previously filled with finely sieved compost. Thin to strongest seedling. Grows best in well-cultivated soil which has not recently been manured; otherwise, forked roots may occur. Lift roots as required. Frosts sweeten the flavor. Sowing to Crop - 28-32 weeks. Show more
