This work considers gesture as a transhistorical carrier of affect, examining how bodily language traverses temporal and technological thresholds to enable forms of recognition bey ond immediate presence. Through the cyanotype process, a found digital image is subjected to duration, chemical transformation, and partial erasure, displacing contemporary visual standardisation into a time-based photographic condition. The gesture no longer functions as symbol or expression, but as residue: a material trace through which affective continuity, recognition, and relational intensity persist across historical distance.
