The most sublime part of patchouli oil is the patchouli alcohol (patchoulol). A typical high quality patchouli will have at least 30% with some natural oils going considerably higher, such as our Patchouli Light Aceh with a whopping 38%. Our Patchouli Heart from Floral Concept, one of the finest suppliers of luxury niche naturals in France, is the result of molecular distillation in which some of the unappealing side-notes are removed from the oil giving a significant boost to the patchoulol — fully half in fact.
