Cleverer than it looks, I think. An extremely well-modelled giraffe - look at the facial features and the shape of the back, for example - with well-chosen fabrics stuck on top. It gets better the more you look at it, a wonderful decorative piece. I'm guessing it's papier-mache or wire underneath the fabric. Very folk art or outsider art, would look good in a modern setting and I like the way it sits next to antiques - an eccentric country house feel. Great condition with a vintage feel, I can't tell how old it is to be honest, not recent though! The front left leg is slightly turned in at the bottom, I'm not sure if this is intentional to give a feeling of movement. 99cm high.
