I picked up this beautifully worn Yukata in maroon cotton stripe and thought it would be fun to do something special with it. I've added some of my patchwork fabrics: some old, som e new, some Mount Vic and Me, some embroidery. Some stitching and embroidered flowers and I think she's ready to go somewhere special. The beauty of upcycling and patching/embroidery of these pieces as you can further work on them, change them, patch them. They have a life of their own. I keep finding threads - carefully cut away any that you find or let them go if you like it shabby.
