The Paediatric Patella Alignment Brace is a children’s knee orthosis designed to provide targeted directional support around the kneecap while allowing functional knee movement. An open-patella design incorporates a lateral semi-circular patella pad. Adjustable traction straps wrap around the patella from the lateral side, providing focused support where patellar subluxation or recurrent lateral instability requires additional control. Flexible spiral stays positioned at the sides of the knee provide light medial and lateral reinforcement without the rigidity of a hinged knee brace. The support is made from breathable elastic honeycomb fabric on the inside and elastic velour on the outside, allowing it to adapt around the child’s knee. The brace is indicated for selected patellar subluxation and external patellofemoral overpressure conditions. It may also be used following lateral retinaculum surgery or where recurrent patellar dislocation requires this type of directional support. This brace is intended to provide external support while it is worn; it does not permanently correct patella alignment. Available in two paediatric sizes for children aged approximately 2–12 years. Bilateral and suitable for either knee. Latex free.
