Since the 1980s, he has been building instruments that combine traditional craftsmanship with a refined ear for tone and feel. After his early success with his eponymous production line, he focused entirely on hand-built boutique guitars, with each instrument from his Oswestry workshop, known as Patrick James Eggle Guitars, known for its flawless finish, meticulous construction, and rich, musical tone that appeals to both studio and stage players. The Saluda is one of his more distinctive models, where aesthetics and tone go hand in hand.The solid Indian rosewood body, combined with a Sitka spruce top and scalloped X-bracing, produces a rich, detailed tone with well-defined bass and clear highs. The mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and C-profile is comfortable to hold and invites extended play. The LR Baggs Anthem pickup also does justice to the acoustic tone when playing amplified.This 2011 Saluda has a few dings on the top and back and sides, and a lacquer chip can be found on the back of the headstock. The guitar is otherwise in very good condition and is a unique model that you don't often encounter. It comes with a TFOA passport and is delivered in a Hiscox hardshell case.
