Paul Buhré Automatic Bidynator circa 1950 Paul Buhré was one of the first watchmaking companies in Europe. It was founded by Karl Buhré, a Russian businessman of German origin. In the beginning, the Buhré watch company was located exclusively in Saint Petersburg. In 1874, the watchmaking manufacture moved to Le Locle in Switzerland. This watch is equipped with a Felsa Bidynator automatic movement. Why Bidynator? Because this movement featured bidirectional automatic winding via its rotor, a world first in 1942. This construction brought a number of new solutions. It took a pioneering position and would become, thanks to its technical characteristics, a true reference influencing future constructions.
