Its beautifully balanced resonance and sophisticated voice make it an ideal choice for accomplished players seeking a powerful yet nuanced sound. 4/4, Crafted in early 20th Century, Used Paul Alexandre Mangenot was born in 1862 in Mirecourt into an instrumental-making family (his father was an organ maker and his grandfather and his older brother were luthiers). He died in 1941 at his Mirecurtian home. A student of Paul Bailly, he then worked for Joseph Hel in Lille, Collin Mézin in Paris, as well as in Lyon and Geneva. He took over from Justin Derazey and set up in 1890 in Mirecourt at 24 Faubourg Saint Vincent under the brand "A la ville de Crémone". In 1899, he was associated with L Pronier about whom little is known. He sold his name to the Laberte firm in 1928, as well as all the brands resulting from the acquisition of Derazey. He was at one time the custodian of the timber merchant Joseph Sandner from Schönbach. Paul Alexandre Mangenot's nickname was "Le Zon".
