Starting with PCAN Explorer 7, software maintenance is offered as a separate license. This page covers the maintenance license only. It does not include access to PCAN-Explorer 7. Every new PCAN-Explorer 7 license includes 12 months of software maintenance coverage from the date of purchase. This maintenance license extends that coverage for an additional 12 months and can be renewed annually to keep your software current for as long as you need it. What's covered: Bug fixes Standard updates New features and feature improvements Upgrades to major new versions For example, maintenance kept customers current with the July 2026 v7.1 update, which added License Borrowing for Floating Licenses, a built-in Trace Converter Add-in, and updated HTML5 documentation. Choosing the right maintenance plan: You'll need a maintenance license for each license you own — including any add-ins purchased separately. Keep these two things in mind when selecting: License type: Your maintenance license must match your original license type — Single or Floating. Add-ins: If you purchased the Full Bundle, choose the "Base + All Add-Ins" option. If you purchased add-ins individually, select a maintenance license for each one.
