This piece took me the longest to create out of all my artwork. I've spent countless hours crafting it into my vision of Matthew 8:27: "But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?" I, too, have marveled at Christ's power over the elements. I love the symbolism of this power to bring peace to the physical world. In this demonstration of his control over the powerful waves and winds of the physical world, he is trying to teach us something. He can calm physical storms and He can bring spiritual peace to the emotional & mental storms one feels in this mortal journey. He truly is the prince of peace and will bring peace to your heart even in your darkest hour. There is healing in his arms, I have felt it and marveled at it's staying power, it's ability to quell my anxiety and fears. I know he can do the same for you.
