Peacock ore gets its name from its striking iridescence. It can be formed in multiple ways. It can occur naturally when the mineral bornite tarnishes to create various iridescent s hades, from blue to purple. More commonly, however, peacock ore is chalcopyrite treated with acid, which produces a strongly-colored iridescent tarnish. *Please note these are sold individually.
