c.1885 redrawn by Bodley in 1885, the Pear is drawn from a flock wallpaper formerly hanging in the Queen's drawing room at Hampton Court. Originally made c.1735, it was removed whe n Verrio's paintings were rediscovered in 1899. The partners would have known the papers while they were still up. Large scale stylised floral design.
