The variegations in this rug ar e called “abrash.” They are discrepencies in color, particularly found in antique rugs. It is evidence that the rug was dyed with vegetable dyes because it is so difficult to create two identical shades of the same color. Shows some wear, in good vintage condition. The rug has one small snag and 1 patched area.
