Hybrid can be expected in those regions. Clear coastal to outer reef slopes and drop-offs. Usually in rich invertebrate reefs at depths of about 20m. Adults usually in pairs. Juveniles solitary. Posterior part of body and tail orange-yellow. Body pearly white with a network of grey lines, the thinker ones forming a chevron pattern. Length to 12cm. 6 cm.
