This juvenile Red-Tailed Hawk seemed as curious about me as I was about it. I first noticed it perched in the top of a juniper tree. As I slowly moved closer to get a better shot, a few steps at a time, it noticed me and started watching. After a few moments, it flew into the lower branches of a nearby tree. I was able to move into a position just below the tree where I could get a view through the branches. The young bird continued to regard me with curiosity, enabling me to get several candid shots.
