Product Description The PLCM-1 is the entry point into Peerless-AV's modular SmartMount ceiling mount system for flat panel displays. Rather than purchasing the tilt box, column, and ceiling plate as separate components, the PLCM-1 combines the proven PLCM-2 tilt box with an EXT13 fixed-length 1.5" NPT column in a single kit. The result is a 36" total drop from the ceiling plate, which covers the most common installation depth requirement for ceiling-mounted displays in environments such as sports facilities, airports, lobbies, and retail spaces. The tilt box in the PLCM-1 kit provides -5° to +2° of adjustable tilt and 36° of swivel, allowing installers to fine-tune the viewing angle after the mount is in place. This range is appropriate for overhead display positions where a moderate forward tilt is needed to direct the image toward the intended audience below. For installations requiring a wider swivel range, the PLCM-2 tilt box purchased separately offers a full 360° of rotation. A Peerless-AV ceiling plate and a universal or fixed display adaptor plate are required to complete the installation; these are sold separately. The modular architecture means that if a future installation requires a different drop length or tilt box configuration, components can be swapped without replacing the entire mount.
