PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil is a non-ionic solubiliser that dissolves fragrance oils cleanly into water. The result is a crystal-clear solution — no cloudiness, no separation, no residue. It is essentially odourless, so your fragrance reads exactly as you intended. The critical technique is premixing: blend PEG-60 HCO with your fragrance oil first at a 3:1 to 5:1 ratio, then add this premix slowly to water. Skipping this step produces cloudy, unstable solutions. Use it in room sprays, body mists, linen sprays, water-based perfumes, and micellar waters. It arrives as a white wax that melts around 35°C — warm it gently to liquefy before measuring. Unlike polysorbate 20, it produces virtually no foam and has no detectable odour of its own. Always use distilled water and always add a preservative to water-based formulations. This can also be used in regular alcohol fragrances as a texture enhancer.
