The case is crafted from an ultra-light proprietary HPX2 polymer, featuring honeycomb structural elements, making it up to 40% lighter than many other Pelican polymers. It is equipped with five newly designed dual push-button latches positioned on three sides, enhancing usability compared to earlier models, while securely clamping the lid to prevent the ingress of dust, dirt, and water. Design features include an O-ring that ensures an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, dual 5/16" (8mm) diameter stainless steel reinforced padlock holes, and a pressure relief valve.
