Cool traditional Japanese pepper, known there as "Yamato dento yasai", or “special traditional vegetable,” they are considered a delicacy and mostly used in special stir-fries. Pla nts to 3' with heavy yields of pretty, skinny 4-6" peppers with an interesting bumpy texture. They hang out like little strings or "himo" from the stems. Can be harvested when green or red; the redder they are, the sweeter their taste. Little to no heat, very sweet flavor, can be eaten fresh as well as stir fried. 0-100 SHU, 80-90 days. Show more
