Discovered as chance seedling at Perdue family farm, Rosendale, Louisiana. Patented cultivar. Large pear-shaped fruit, smooth greenish-yellow skin with slight blotches. White flesh , exceptionally smooth, sweet, juicy with noticeably fewer sclereids The flavor has been described as reminiscent of Golden Delicious apple with a creamy sweetness. Self-fertile but pollinator recommended for maximum production. New southern pear cultivar of exceptional quality. High fire blight resistance, no fire blight observed.
