Motor authority of a much larger driver in a compact package. When given enough airspace, plays with the articulation and tonal accuracy expected of top-tier SQ 10-inch drivers. 0.76 cu ft gross internal volume produces 0.66 cu ft net after driver displacement. Matches Kicker's own recommended minimum sealed enclosure spec. Trunk-Load Wedge Design Explained This wedge is not a front-firing enclosure. The woofer mounts on the vertical face at the back of the box (closest to the trunk lid) and fires rearward into the trunk cavity. The angled face is on the opposite side and tucks against the rear seat back. Seat-Side Face Matches Seat Lean Most factory rear seat backs lean roughly 20 degrees back from vertical. The angled face of this wedge matches that lean. Trunk-Lid-Side Face Fires the Woofer The vertical face is where the CompQ 10 mounts. The cone fires rearward toward the trunk lid, using the trunk cavity as an acoustic loading chamber. Trunk Cavity Loading Firing the woofer into the trunk cavity uses the trunk itself as an extension of the acoustic system. Low frequencies transmit into the cabin through the rear deck, seat back, and cabin boundaries. Preserves Trunk Cargo Space The wedge tucks against the seat back where cargo can't be stored anyway. Cargo space in front of the wedge stays usable. Engineered for the Kicker CompQ 10 Built to 0.66 cubic feet net, matching Kicker's own recommended minimum sealed enclosure. Puts the driver at a Qtc of 0.65 based on bench-measured T/S, an extended musical alignment that lets the CompQ 10 breathe and pull deeper low-end reach than a tighter tune would allow.
