Produced exclusively with pure glacial water that takes decades to travel down the unspoiled slopes of Mount Cook in the remote wilds of the South Island of New Zealand, this perfumer's alcohol is finest 96% ethanol with the addition of 1% odourless Solgard® for full spectrum UV protection and a touch of natural preservative for your high end fragrances. Sizes on this product vary from our store standard because alcohol by weight takes up considerably more volume. For reference: 80g = approx. 100ml / 3.5 oz200g = approx 250ml / 8.5 oz400g = approx 500ml / 17 oz800g = approx 1,000ml / 1 quart Denaturants We are required by law (the New Zealand Denatured Ethanol Group Standard) to sell this product denatured and while the chemicals we use for that purpose align with international standards, we generally use smaller quantities. We have two standard options right now (odourless DEP and near odourless Tert-Butanol) with more possible. If you have a specific type of denaturant you want, just ask and we will try to accommodate you. NZDEGS-39C: We add 0.5% DEP [SDA-39C approximate equivalent is 1% DEP]NZDEGS-40C: We add 0.25% Tert-Butanol [US SDA-40C approximate equivalent is 3% Tert-Butanol] General Uses Perfumes For perfumes simply combine Deluxe Perfumer's Alcohol with 5 (cologne) – 30% (extrait) fragrance oil. Perfumes fall under IFRA category 4. Pillow and Linen Sprays For pillow and linen sprays, add up to 3% of your fragrance oil to a blend of 25% Deluxe Perfumer's Alcohol and 75% distilled water. No preservative is needed — 25% alcohol is inherently self-preserving. If you find your mixture is turbid after the addition of perfume oil, add up to 5% PEG-60 HCO with your juice prior to combining with the alcohol and water blend. Gentle heat is required to melt PEG-60.
