Perlite is used to increase drainage and lighten the textures of potting composts. Mix into seed and potting compost for plants or seedlings that require good drainage, such as suc culents and cacti, and other indoor plants such as Begonia and Monstera. Mix in a ratio of approx 1 part perlite to 4 parts compost. Or use for seedling germination in a 50/50 ratio with seed and potting compost.
