Perlite is a natural volcanic glass that expands when heated, creating a lightweight, highly porous material. Its airy structure makes it one of the most popular soil amendments fo r improving drainage and root aeration. Weight & texture: Ultra-lightweight, white, and crumbly granules Porosity: Holds small amounts of moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely, keeping soil loose and breathable Best uses: Excellent for aroids, houseplants, seedlings, succulents, and cuttings that require extra drainage and airflow around the roots Perlite prevents soil compaction, reduces the risk of overwatering, and supports healthy root development. It is completely inert, pH-neutral, and does not decompose, ensuring long-term stability in soil mixes.
