Hyakumo Persimmon is a large, round, orange-skinned astringent variety that produces juicy, sweet fruit when fully ripe and softened. Reaching around 3 to 4 m tall with a neat, upr ight habit, it is well suited to home gardens. Fruit is borne on new growth, so annual pruning of old wood is important for good yields.
