DESCRIPTION A 3" personalized hand-painted Italian majolica Christmas ornament from Pia Formato workshop in Deruta, Umbria, in the Santa Bear Baby pattern — a Christmas keepsake ornament designed for a child's first Christmas or a new baby in the family. This ornament is a special order: personalize it with the baby's name and year painted by Pia in Deruta. The kind of ornament a family hangs in the same spot on the tree every year. Delivery is in November. The small imperfections such as the difference in color, shape, diameter, or small bubbles that form inside do not constitute a defect but testify that it is actually an artisanal product. Every piece comes from a named Italian artisan or heritage house we work with directly — FIMA, CF Deruta, Pia Formato, Eugenio Ricciarelli, Susanna DeSimone (from the famous Palermo ceramic family — her father painted with Picasso), Geribi, Bucci Ceramiche, Ortigia Sicilia, Italesse, and Salviati. So each piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind. Can this be customized or personalized?Yes — personalization is the defining feature of this ornament. Pia is a master glazer known for her grand technical grasp, innovative designs, and uncommonly vibrant colors. She began over twenty years ago with her interpretation of Eugenio Ricciarelli's geometric patterns. Her larger pieces are produced one at a time — true Pia Formato originals, hand-painted in her Deruta studio.
