Finca Artemira’s Gesha Nanolot is a rare expression from a family-run coffee farm high in the Cajamarca mountains of Salinas, San José de Lourdes, Peru. At around 1,800–1,900 m above sea level, this altitude and the cool, stable microclimate create ideal conditions for growing delicate varietals like Gesha, renowned for its finesse and complexity. The farm, managed by Ebert Huaman Villegas and his family, has over 40 years of agricultural heritage but has evolved in recent seasons under Ebert’s leadership toward specialty coffee with serious attention to detail. By integrating coffee into agroforestry systems and avoiding synthetic inputs, they prioritise soil health, biodiversity, and long-term resilience — practices that contribute directly to cup clarity and balance. This nanolot Geisha undergoes a washed process with controlled anaerobic and double fermentation, where cherries are carefully fermented in sealed conditions before washing and slow solar drying. That level of precision and restraint allows the coffee’s natural elegance to shine. In the cup, expect an elegant profile of jasmine, peach and rose tea, a combination of floral aromatics and delicate fruit notes that reflect the unique terroir of Cajamarca, Peru.
