PETAL 02 is a handcrafted glass ring made using the flameworking technique with high-quality borosilicate glass. Born from a structural variation of the original KOF [Kind of Flowe r] ring, PETAL 02 was shaped through my perception of Dendrophylax lindenii, the Ghost Orchid. A leafless orchid that seems to float in the air, suspended only by its roots, it became a study in presence, disappearance, and fragile structure. Its anatomy echoes the way I experience glass, where what appears most fragile often becomes the source of strength. Reduced to three petals, PETAL 02 is the memory of a flower rather than its representation. Each ring is individually handmade. Small variations in shape are a natural part of the process, making every piece one of a kind. Show more
