Petit Gris de Rennes Melon is an old heirloom French cantaloupe first noted in the garden of the Bishop of Rennes nearly 400 years ago. Plants produce excellent yields of perfectly round, green melons that turn orange when ripe. Petit Gris de Rennes' two-pound melons have exceptionally small seed cavities and sweet orange flesh that is of the finest quality available. One of our favorite melons. Watch them closely as they do not slip from the vine. Harvest as soon as rinds begin to turn orange and let ripen on the counter. Approximately 80 to 85 days to harvest.
