The PLAW is a screwable and 360° rotatable lifting and lashing point. The load ring can be loaded to it‘s full capacity throughout a 100° load range and can be positioned at the required angle of load via the patented interchangeable spring clip. The 10.9 grade special hex head bolt is interchangeable and is secured within the body forging. The bolt is 100% crack detection tested and has a VI-free protective coating applied to it in order to protect against corrosion. The head of the load bolt is marked with the lifting point WLL and thread size. PLAW lifting points have a factor of safety of 4:1 against breakage in all directions within the 100° load range. Each lifting point is marked during manufacture with an individual serial number which gives full product traceability. The PLAW range is available with metric or UNC thread options and can also be supplied with long (max.) or custom bolt lengths in metric form which are supplied with a special 100% crack detected prevailing torque type locking nut and washer to DIN 980-V (PLMS). All load capacities, categorised by the type of application, the number of legs and angle of inclination, are contained in a table that forms an integral part of the operating manual included with each lifting point. Also available with 'peTAG' RFID upon request. Metric thread sizes available: M8, M10, M12, M16, M20, M24, M30, M36, M42, M48. UNC thread sizes available: 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 1 3/4". Permitted usage Ensure that the PLAW load capacity is in accordance with the inspection certificate, the loads are within the permissible direction of pull and also within the WLL stated in the tables supplied. Non-permitted usage During assembly, ensure that improper loading cannot arise due to any of the following factors:• Direction of pull is obstructed• Direction of pull is not within the indicated area• Loading ring rests against edges or loadsThe load ring must be placed in the direction of pull before loading – do not turn under load!
