It is not an embroidery machine, overlocker, coverstitch machine or industrial sewing machine. What is the Original IDT System? It is PFAFF’s integrated dual-feed mechanism, which feeds fabric from above in synchronisation with the feed dogs below. Does IDT replace a walking foot? For many layered-sewing, matching and straight-line quilting jobs, IDT provides the controlled upper feeding normally associated with a walking foot without requiring a separate bulky attachment. How many stitches does the expression 710 have? It includes 247 built-in stitches across seven categories. Can it create custom stitches? Yes. Stitch Creator allows compatible 9mm stitches to be edited or created by changing individual stitch points. Does it sew letters and names? Yes. Three built-in sewing fonts can be used in stitch sequences for names, labels and short wording. Is the lettering embroidery? No. The letters are sewn as feed-through stitches.
