Description Kit Components Junior Learning has partnered with Beanstalk Books to create The Phase 4 Essentials Plus Single Kit of Decodable Readers Readers. The single kit includes one copy of every title. The Essentials Plus Kit is comprised of a set of our Fiction and Non-Fiction titles from both set one and set two. This is a great kit to expand your collection of Decodable Readers and introduce more titles for added variety. Set one and set two follow the same scope and sequence, set two was added for further variety. Also added into the Essentials Plus kit is our Science titles of Decodable readers and both sets of our Hilo (high interest level, low reading age) readers, The Beanies. The Beanies have been written following the same progression, but use slightly older characters and stories to engage older readers. Phase 4 Blends readers introduce 38 different adjacent consonants (or blends). Text uses only decodable regular words (according to the week by week progression) along with 'tricky words'. Phase 4 readers have a strictly controlled vocabulary that follows the letter-by-letter progression.
