Phidgets Capacitive Touch Sensor Detects touch through plastic, glass or paper Supply voltage: 2.0 to 5.25 VDC Works through 1/2" of glass RoHS Compliant The Phidgets Capacitive Touch Sensor (increased sensitivity) can detect a touch through plastic, glass or paper. A material thickness of up to 1/2" is recommended. The sensor can work as a close proximity sensor, sensing objects at a distance of up to 1/2" from the board in all directions without direct contact. On the bottom side of the touch sensor there is a small exposed metallic pad. A soldered connection can be made to the pad to increase the size and dimensions of the touchable area, such as attaching the sensor to a metallic object or some wire. This sensor is designed to be 3.3V compatible and can interface with other products as an alternative. Features: Capacitive touch sensor that can detect a touch through plastic, glass or paper A material thickness of up to 1/2" is recommended The sensor can be attached to metallic objects to allow for a larger touch pad The sensor is Ratiometric Sensor value when Touching: 1000 Extended touch area: Yes This sensor connects to an Analog Input on the: 1018 - PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 1019 - PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 w/6 Port Hub 1070 - PhidgetSBC 1202 - PhidgetTextLCD 1203 - PhidgetTextLCD
