Younger leaves are simpler, while mature leaves become longer and narrower and develop two lower lobes that sweep back from the main spear-shaped section.The stem lengthens as a climber and produces silver leaves one after another along the stem. As later leaves become longer, the swept-back lower lobes make the spear-like outline increasingly pronounced.
