Philodendron x joepii The mature leaf has a strikingly off-balance outline. A long central section narrows into a pronounced waist before meeting two basal lobes that differ in siz e and angle, so the blade can look almost assembled from separate green pieces. Early leaves are simpler. The deep constrictions and strong asymmetry become clearer as the stem climbs and matures, so a young plant may not yet show the extreme outline associated with established Philodendron x joepii.
