A Memphis design inspired chair designed for Cafe Mars, an unusual Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, NYC. The seat features a slight v shape, while the back has a gentle slope. The s eat design is one of my favorite features of this chair as it greatly increased the comfort of the seat and is a design move I plan to incorporate in future chairs. The Phobos incorporates a U-shaped leg, mirroring the back in a fun and playful way. The chair is made of solid beech and painted with a custom neon pink paint that was hand-mixed for the restaurant and ties together the colorful and inviting atmosphere throughout the space.
